Öz

In this article, Rıfat Resul Sevinç's work titled Cer Letters in Arabic in Every Aspect is evaluated in terms of content, method, expression, use of sources and exemplification. The work deals with the letters, especially the cer letters, which are one of the basic word types of the Arabic language, and aims to deal with these letters in a systematic framework. In the work, which consists of three chapters, the meanings of cer letters, their usage as zait, their relations with irab and their functions in sentences are analysed in various aspects. The author has tried to deal with each letter under headings such as its original meaning, then its use in place of other letters, then its different meanings, and its being zait. The simplicity of the language used in the work, the narrative style supported by visual materials and the systematic presentation of the subject are among the positive aspects. However, methodological problems such as inconsistencies in determining the scope of the study, selectivity in the transfer of controversial opinions, and lack of sources in rare and shāz opinions were identified. In addition, repetitions of content, inconsistencies between title and content, and deficiencies in examples also negatively affect the scholarly competence of the study. Some of the author's definitions and attempts to explain some of the causes are not sufficiently descriptive, making it difficult for the reader to grasp the subject. Translation and citation errors have caused the meaning to be distorted, especially in couplet interpretations. Throughout the article, such problems are presented with concrete examples and suggestions for improving the academic quality of the work are presented.

Rıfat Resul Sevinç, Arapçada Her Yönüyle Cer Harfleri (Yapı-Görev-Kullanım-Anlam)

Öz

Bu makalede, Rıfat Resul Sevinç’in Arapçada Her Yönüyle Cer Harfleri adlı eseri, içerik, yöntem, anlatım, kaynak kullanımı ve örneklendirme gibi yönlerden değerlendirilmiştir. Eser, Arap dilinin temel kelime türlerinden biri olan harfleri, özellikle de cer harflerini konu edinmekte ve bu harfleri sistematik bir çerçevede ele almayı hedeflemektedir. Üç bölümden oluşan eserde, cer harflerinin anlamları, zait olarak kullanımları, irab ile ilişkileri ve cümledeki görevleri çeşitli yönleriyle incelenmiştir. Müellif, her bir harfi önce asıl anlamı, sonra diğer harflerin yerine kullanımı, ardından farklı anlamları ve zait oluşu gibi başlıklar altında işlemeye çalışmıştır. Eserde kullanılan dilin sadeliği, görsel materyallerle desteklenmiş anlatım tarzı ve konunun sistematik sunumu olumlu yönler arasında yer almaktadır. Bununla birlikte çalışmada kapsam belirlemede tutarsızlıklar, ihtilaflı görüşlerin aktarımında seçicilik, nadir ve şâz görüşlerde kaynak eksiklikleri gibi yöntemsel problemler tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca içerik tekrarları, başlık-İçerik uyumsuzlukları ve örneklerde görülen eksiklikler de çalışmanın ilmî yeterliliğini olumsuz etkilemektedir. Müellifin bazı tanım ve illetlendirme çabaları ise yeterince açıklayıcı olmadığı için okuyucunun konuyu kavramasını zorlaştırmaktadır. Tercüme ve atıf hataları, özellikle beyit yorumlarında anlamın bozulmasına neden olmuştur. Makale boyunca, bu tür problemler somut örneklerle ortaya konmuş ve eserin akademik niteliğinin geliştirilmesine yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.
