In Turkey, people who singing is to be called in two different ways as "vocal artist”
and "singer". Similar naming differences as "music instrument artist" and "player" is
valid for the instrument to be played. The purpose of this article, the musicians are
similar in terms of music acts, why it is called in Turkey in a different way and this
appellation is to understand what the basic dynamics are. Working on behalf of the
discipline is to fit a frame and to make a systematic analysis, the ethnographic data
required for the post, Ege University Turkish Music State Conservatory at the
Department of Vocal Education consists of eight lecturer and nineteen students
were from my interviews with a limited focus group interviews. Articles in
observation and interview methods are used, the data obtained by these methods
was assessed in a conceptual framework.
