Öz

1991 yılında A. Ü. Tıp Fakültesi Psikiyatri kliniği açık erkek psikoz katına yatırılarak incelenen
kronik şizofren hastalarda, depresyon görülme sıklığı, depresyon ile sosyodemografik özellikler,
psikososyal stress kaynaklarının şiddeti ve işlevselliğin derecesi, depresyonla ilişkili olduğu farzedilen
bazı değişkenler ve intihar arasındaki ilişkiler araştırılmıştır

Öz

İt is now generally know that, both depression and suicide are not rare in schizophrenia.
Symptoms of depression may be present during the acute phase, following the acute phase or some
time after the disappearence ot schizophrenic smptoms. Suicidal behaviour may be consciously or
unconsciously determined and the act of suicide may be planned or impulsive.
