Abstract

Latex allergy is a problem that causes significant problems, especially in healthcare workers, whose prevalence is increasing nowadays. Type 1 and type 4 hyper-sensitivity reactions such as contact urticaria, asthma, rhinitis and systemic reac-tion can be observed. Diagnosis in latex allergy is based on the combined use of clinical history and laboratory tests. This article compiles current information about latex allergy.

Lateks alerjisi, günümüzde sıklığı giderek artan özellikle sağlık çalışanlarında önem-li sorunlara neden olan bir problemdir. Kontakt dermatit, astım, rinit ve sistemik reaksiyon gibi tip 1 ve tip 4 hipersensitivite reaksiyonları gözlenebilir. Lateks alerjisinde tanı, öykü ve laboratuvar testlerinin birlikte kullanılmasına dayanır. Bu yazıda lateks alerjisi hakkında güncel bilgiler derlenmiştir.Latex Allergy
