This research aimed to investigate intermediary role of early maladaptive schemas in the relationship between experiences in intimate relationships and sexual satisfaction. The population of this research consists of female individuals over the age of 18. Participants were selected by simple random sampling method. Young Schema Questionnaire (YSQ-SF3), The Experiences in Close Relationships Scale (ECR-II) and the The Golombok-Rust Inventory of Sexual Satisfaction (GRISS) used in this study. A positive correlation was found between Golombok Rust Sexual Satisfaction Scale-Female Form and Disconnection Schema Domain, Impaired Autonomy Schema Domain, Other-Directedness Schema Domain, Unrelenting Standards Schema Domain. The results show that with decreased sexual satisfaction in women, the likelihood of early maladaptive schemas increases. The disconnection schema domain has a full mediating role in the prediction of sexual satisfaction by anxious attachment. This means that we can fully explain the effect between anxious attachment and sexual satisfaction through the disconnection schema domain. This shows that the mediator variable of the Disconnection schema domain is more associated with anxious attachment than the dependent variable of sexual satisfaction.
