The Moderating Role of Generations in the Effect of General Life Satisfaction on Psychological Ownership Via Psychological Well-Being

Öz

This research aims to explore the moderating role of generational differences in the relationship between overall life satisfaction and psychological ownership, considering psychological well-being as a mediator. The study sample (n = 386) comprises employees from healthcare institutions and organizations in Konya province, with data gathered through face-to-face surveys. The hypotheses were tested using the Process Macro (for SPSS) software developed by Hayes. The findings indicate that general life satisfaction has a statistically significant impact on both psychological well-being and psychological ownership. Additionally, psychological well-being was found to have a mediating effect on the relationship between general life satisfaction and psychological ownership. Furthermore, the moderating role of generational differences in this relationship was statistically significant for both Generation X and Generation Y.
