What potential does interactive multimedia have as a documentary medium? We know it can serve as a convenient means of linking together a diverse set of documentary materials, but are there interactive paradigms available to enable a more sophisticated work of interpretation? This paper considers this question both at a general theoretical level and in terms of the issues raised by a recent Turkish/Australian interactıve documentary project.
