Yükseköğretimde Uluslararasılaşma ve Eğitim Göçü: Bibliyometrik Bir Analiz

Öz

Bu çalışma, yükseköğretimde uluslararasılaşma ve eğitim göçünün kesiştiği noktada şekillenen akademik çalışmanın değişen biçimini bibliyometrik yöntemler kullanarak analiz etmektedir. 1994-2024 yılları arasında Web of Science veri tabanında yayınlanan 964 yayına dayanan bu analiz, alanın teorik yapısını özetlemekte ve tematik ve yapısal dönüşümünü izlemektedir. Tematik analizler, politik, yapısal ve bireysel düzeydeki geçişleri ele alan çalışmaların önemini ortaya koymaktadır. Aynı zamanda, COVID-19 sonrası dönemde literatürde “mülteci”, “eşitsizlik” ve “dijital uluslararasılaşma” gibi yeni temalar daha fazla araştırılmıştır. Anahtar kelime eş-oluşumları ve tematik harita analizleri, “beyin göçü” gibi yerleşik alanların varlığını sürdürdüğünü ortaya koyarken, “kimlik”, “entegrasyon” ve “dışlanma” gibi bağlama duyarlı konuların yükselişine işaret etmektedir. Bu çalışma, yükseköğretimde uluslararasılaşma ve eğitim göçü arasındaki ilişkinin tarihsel bir analiz sunmakta ve ileri çalışmalar için kavramsal bir zemin oluşturmaktadır.

Internationalization of Higher Education and Educational Migration: A Bibliometric Analysis

Öz

This study analyzes the changing form of academic literature structured by the intersection of internationalization and educational migration in higher education using bibliometric methods. Based on 964 publications published in the Web of Science database between 1994 and 2024, this analysis outlines the theoretical landscape of the field and traces its thematic and structural transformation. Thematic analyses demonstrate the prominence of studies addressing political, structural, and individual-level transitions. At the same time, new themes such as “refugee”, “inequality”, and “digital internationalization” have been explored more in the literature in the post-COVID-19 period. Keyword co-occurrence and thematic map analyses reveal the persistence of established fields such as “brain drain,” while pointing to the rise of context-sensitive topics such as “identity”, “integration,” and “exclusion”. This study provides a historical analysis of the relationship between internationalization and educational migration in higher education and a conceptual basis for further studies.
