Today's businesses, with the influence of globalization, are affected by the events not only in the countries they
operate in, but also in other countries around the World. Particularly, international companies with huge capital
that engage in corruption or fraud, adversely affect all world market. Regulatory authorities have introduced a set
of rules and standards in order to prevent corruption and fraud. One of these rules is the accountability of the
managers. In order to fulfill their duties, managers are obliged to identify and analyze the risks they may face in
business operations and to implement the necessary measures to struggle these risks. These applications are
discussed under the name of risk management. Our aim in this study is to try to determine the activities related to
risk management of the enterprises operating in Turkey and conducting surveys on the managers of the milk
production enterprises which entered ISO 1000 between 2014-2016. The survey was conducted by face to face.
At the same time, Brazil, which ranks fourth in the list of countries producing the most milk in 2016 and the
variables that have the highest risk factor for milk production enterprises in Turkey, which is in the tenth rank,
were also investigated. As a result, almost 50% of dairy businesses do not have risk management practice and
risk reporting system, which shows that risk management is not sufficient for dairy operations.
