ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARINDA DUYGUSAL ZEKANIN BAZI DEĞİŞKENLER AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Öz

Mayer ve Salovey’e göre duygusal zeka, kişinin kendisinin ve başkalarını duygularını değerlendirmesi ve ifade etmesi, kendisinin ve başkalarının duygularını kontrol edebilmesi, düşüncelerin ifadesi için, duyguların kullanılmasıdır. Goleman, duygusal zekayı beş ana başlıkta toplamaktadır; a Benlik bilinci; bireyin duygularının farkında olması, b Duyguların kontrolü; değişik duygu durumlarına gösterilen tepkinin kontrol edilmesi c Kendi kendini motive etmek; amaçlanan hedeflere ulaşmak için duyguların yönledirilmesi, d Empati; başkalarının duygularının farkında olma, e İlişkiyi yürütmek

EVALUATION OF EFFECTS OF SOME VARIABLES ON EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN STUDENT TEACHERS

Öz

According to Mayer and Saloyev, emotional intelligence is individual’s evaluating and expressing his and others emotions and using them to control and convey emotions. Goleman classifies emotional intelligence into five main titles; a Ego consciousness; to be aware of individual’s emotions, b Control of emotions; control of reactions to different emotional moods c Self-motivation; to direct emotions to reach goals, d Empathy; to be aware of others’ emotions, e To sustain a relationship. Aim of this workshop is examination of variables which affects emotional intelligence of teacher candidates who are studying at Buca Education Faculty. Research was done in 2006-2007 education year with Dokuz Eylül University students. Information form and emotional intelligence scale was used during the labor. The data obtained are tested with t test and variance analysis. As the comments of results, there are considerably huge differences between emotional intellegence and number of close friends, choosing the job, feeling about life, having no doubt about solving his students’ problems
