Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop and validate satisfaction scale for students studying in the field of information technology in vocational high schools. The results of this scale can be used to determine to what extent students are satisfied with school work. After a literature review, an instrument with 48 questions is created. Each question is in the form of Likert Scale with five options. Subject matter experts are reviewed the questions. A pilot testing with the instrument conducted with 50 vocational high school students. Based on the results from pilot testing and expert recommendations, we have made some changes. 385 students, studying in the field of information technology, completed the satisfaction scale. After validity and reliability analysis, the final instrument consists of 31 questions. According to factor analysis five sub-factors have emerged; these are: satisfaction regarding handling for classes, satisfaction regarding school administration and guidance, satisfaction regarding text, satisfaction regarding visual learning materials, and satisfaction regarding computer labs and hardware. The internal consistency coefficient of 0.89 was obtained. In sub-factors, this coefficient varies between 0.69 and 0.86
