As a social realist standing as the cornerstone
of Turkish literature Yaşar Kemal is the spokesman of the separated crowds and
the voice pleading their cries. With the
typed form of this voice, “İnce Memed”, Yaşar Kemal aims to realize a dream and
depict the social life of the period by telling the landowner-lord;
system-society correlation. While realizing this dream the author uses the
place, which gives direction to the narration, contributes to the progress of
the case and refers to the triangulation of the literary works. Since, the place
is determined according to attitudes of characters against life. In this way,
studying the text in the aspect of place-person brings new points of view to
the reader. In the light of the foregoing, the main ideal of our study is to
expose the effect of the place on human psychology and the contribution to the
existential adventure of the individual analyzing the novel “İnce Memed-I” in the aspect of place-person.
