Green Business Ethics in Education: Unveiling the Impact on Teachers' Trust and Institutional Commitment

Öz

Green business ethics is a concept that advocates acting in accordance with environmental responsibilities and sustainability principles. This ethical understanding aims to operate without harming the environment, to use natural resources efficiently and to protect the ecological balance. As individuals who shape the future of society, educators can raise environmental awareness and sustainability awareness not only to their students but also to families and the wider society when they act in accordance with green ethical principles. Therefore, teachers' perceptions of green business ethics play a critical role in the process of building a sustainable society by creating a strong impact on students.This research aims to measure teachers' perceptions of green business ethics and to examine the effects of these perceptions on teachers' trust and commitment to their institutions. The population of the study consists of 155 teachers working in Konya province of Türkiye. Data collected with the survey technique, one of the quantitative research methods, were analyzed using the SPSS program. The analysis results showed that teachers' perceptions of green business ethics have a positive effect on institutional trust. However, green business ethics perceptions were not found to have any effect on teachers' commitment to their institutions. In addition, it was determined that teachers' commitment to their institutions did not affect their trust in the institution.
