STUDENTS’ VIEWS ON THE PROBLEMS OF BUSSED PRIMARY SCHOOL IMPLEMENTATION ENCOUNTERED BY THE STUDENTS DURING THE TRANSPORTATION PROCESS
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the students’ perceptions
about the problems appeared during the period of students’ transportation. The
population of study performed by using descriptive scan model consists of 1270
bussed students in grades 6, 7 and 8 of 15 bussed primary schools in Suruç, the
district of Şanlıurfa in 2010-2011 academic years. The sample consists of 400 students
in four schools selected by random sampling. For the research, the questionnaire
is prepared by using the Ministry of Education’s Bussed Primary
School Regulations and applied by considering the experts’ opinions. The data
obtained from the students, the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t test, oneway
ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis H test and Mann-Whitney U test were applied.
The findings that are passengers are rarely taken to the vehicles, as a result,
some students are standing in their journey; drivers are rarely angry with students
have been concluded.
