AN EVALUATION ON MUSICAL PERCEPTION AND LEARNING*

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the achievements through the activities samples of the acquisition “B1 Use Basic Music Writings and Elements ” addressed in teaching program named “Musical Perception and Learning” of 2006 primary education music classes of sixth grade level. It was also intended to focus on evaluations and suggestions offered for providing more effective teaching through instruction progress. Universe of this study consisted of Primary Schools of central districts of Ankara depended on Ministry of National Education. By choosing five Primary Schools depended on Çankaya, Kazan, Keçiören, Yenimahalle districts for observation practices, sample group was formed. To analyze all data based on observation, one-way ANOVA was used. After collecting all data, positive and negative results were acquired about the achievement level within the sample of “Musical Perception and Learning” instruction field of sixth grade level music teaching program. Necessary suggestions related to negative sides were offered for the results
