ASSESING THE DEMOCRATIC ATTITUDES OF PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS ACCORDING TO VARIOUS FACTOR IN THE SOCIAL STUDIES LESSON

Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to exhibit how potentially the primary school students gained democratic habit and acquisition through newprepared social studies curriculum. The democratic attitudes of the students are tried to investigate in terms of many variable and output data evaluated on SPSS 16.00 program in the research. In the study, a pre-scale was prepared of investigating the attitudes of students and the scale has totally 25 item on it. Reliability coefficient (Chronbach alfa) of the pre-scale, which was prepared through expert opinions and applied to 62 students, is determined 0,86. The survey which has a high reliability coefficient was accepted final scale without chancing any of its items and applied 126 second-degree primary students. According to the final findings of the study, the democratic attitudes of primary school students’ diversed by their gender and average of monthly revenue. Apart from that, it is not determined a meaningful diversity between educational backgrounds of parents and sibling numbers of the students versus democratic attitudes.
