ARTICLES CONCERNING TURKISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE EDUCATION PROGRAMS IN VARLIK JOURNAL (1933-1960)
Abstract
After the foundation of Turkish Republic changes in the Turkish language and
literature education program were evaluated by the literature authorities; different
views and suggestions were taken place in the newspapers and periodicals in those
days. From this point of view Varlık is one of the important resources from the
foundation of Republic to nowadays that reflects evaluations for the content and
elaboration of Turkish language and literature teaching because it has been published regularly from 1933 to nowadays and has given place to lieder literature
writers of those days such as Nurullah Ataç, Orhan Veli, Cahit Sıtkı, Sait Faik.
In the end of research, reflections of Varlık writers about changes in the
Turkish language and literature education program and positive or negative
criticisms between 1933-1960 years will be brought up, the usefulness to Turkish
language and literature education program of the views and suggestions that are
made will be discussed.
