From the beginning of the second part of thetwentieth century, not only in the industrial capitalist societies but also in the other nations, importance of productivity has been emphasized in theworkplaces. Considerable increases in work pace,atypical work contracts, including part time workand instable work, night and shift work have beenintroduced into the working life.
