Technological advancements and events such as the COVID-19 pandemic have necessitated the rapid expansion of online therapy and the use of digital platforms for delivering mental health services. In this study, a conceptual framework was established by examining the theoretical foundations of online therapies in clinical practice, with a focus on therapeutic relationships, ethical issues, effectiveness and cultural dimensions. The recent advancements in mental health and technology have also been evaluated, aiming to provide a comprehensive perspective on the advantages, disadvantages, limitations, and the future outlook of online therapies. It was emphasized that a major transformation will occur in mental health services with the integration of digitalization, the use of artificial intelligence, online games, virtual reality and mobile applications into clinical practice.
