The movie named Dogtooth (Dogtooth, Yorgos Lanthimos, 2009), which belongs to the Greek cinema, is an award-winning movie about a dictatorial father who raises his 3 children in isolation from the outside world and an almost obscure mother who does not seem to find this order strange to manipulate the external reality with various efforts. This film, which has been the subject of various comments and criticisms, opens a window on how 'language' shapes human thought, how fear is effective in providing authority, how important censorship is in order to stay in power, as well as opening a window to us from a political-sociological point of view, like Freud, Klein and Lacan. It draws a lot of attention with its scenes that will support the thoughts of psychoanalysis theorists and wink at the world of psychology. In this study, while narrating the film from beginning to end, it is aimed to evaluate both the psychological analyzes of the characters and the remarkable details in the scenes in the light of the information contributed by the famous theorists to the literature, to present a general framework without disturbing the flow of the film script, and to provide a rich narrative by including sections from the scene dialogues while trying to achieve this. Since there is no analysis of the film in question in Turkish literature, especially from a psychological/psychoanalytical perspective, this study is considered to be important and original. Because, considering that psychology is the science that tries to make sense of human behavior, the film contains important and rich elements about the behavior of the family members, the reasons behind this behavior and the relationship of family members with each other. It is seen that the film contains rich elements about the relations of family members with each other. Since it is known that the focus of the psychoanalytic theory, especially Freud, is to evaluate the mother-father-child relations and the effects of these relations, it is predicted that the explanation of these elements in the film in the light of psychoanalytic theory will make a significant contribution to the literature.
