Abstract

In Turkey, during the last decade, the interest have risen up higer than the rate which can be absorbed by the economy. Hıgh interests, brougt about both the rise in the inflation by risingthe costs and the deteriotian in the budged structure by rising public loans, and the money mowing toward short term speculative gains by rising alternative costs. Türkiye’de 1990 Sonrası İzlenen Faiz Politikası

Öz

Türkiye’de son on yılda faizler ekonominin absorbe edebileceği oranın çok üzerine çıkmıştır. Yüksek faizler maliyetleri yükseltmesi nedeniyle enflasyonu yükseltmiş, gerek kamunun borçlarını hızla artırarak bütçe yapısının bozulmasına, gerekse alternatif maliyetleri artırarak paranın kısa vadeli spekülatif alanlara kaymasına neden olmuştur. Dolayısıyla faiz çok stratejik bir değişkendir. Bu çalışmada 1990 ‘lı yıllar boyunca faizi etkileyen nedenler ve faizin neden olduğu sonuçlar incelenmiştir
