Melike SEVİM, İstanbul’da doğdu. İlk ve orta öğrenimini doğduğu şehirde tamamladı. 2007 yılında Sakarya Üniversitesi’nde eğitimine başladı. 2011 yılında ikincilik derecesi ile mezun oldu. Aynı yıl Sakarya Üniversitesi Kimya Anabilim dalında yüksek lisans eğitimine başladı ve 2013 yılında mezun oldu. 2013 yılında Atatürk Üniversitesi Kimya Bölümünde doktora eğitimine başladı ve 2018 yılında tamamladı. 2021-2022 yılları arasında Georgia Institue of Technology (USA)'de post-doktora çalışmalarını gerçekleştirdi. 2022 yılında doçent ünvanını aldı. Hala aynı bölümde çalışmalarına devam etmektedir.
