Milliyetçiliği Yeniden Yapılandırmak: Diasporayı Bölgesel Damganın Ötesinde Bir Katalizör Olarak Görmek

Öz

Bu çalışma, Endonezya diasporasının fiziksel varlık ve doğrudan katkıyı önceliklendiren bölgesel milliyetçilik bağlamında "vatansever olmayan" olarak damgalanmasını incelemektedir. Sosyal medya söylemi, politika belgeleri ve diaspora liderliğindeki girişimlerin niteliksel bir anlatı incelemesi yoluyla, viral #KaburAjaDulu (#JustKaç) etiketinin göçmenlik ve ulusal aidiyet arasındaki daha geniş gerilimleri nasıl yansıttığını analiz ediyoruz. Bulgular, diaspora topluluklarının ulusötesi ağlar, dijital katılım, bilgi transferi ve kültürel diplomasi yoluyla Endonezya'nın kalkınmasına önemli ölçüde katkıda bulunduğunu ve geleneksel vatanseverlik biçimlerini aştığını ortaya koymaktadır. Bu araştırma, bölgesel sınırlamaları aşan ve diasporayı ulusal kalkınmada stratejik bir ortak olarak kucaklayan bir milliyetçilik kavramsallaştırmasını savunmaktadır. Çalışma, Endonezya'nın küresel hedefleriyle uyumlu, kapsayıcı ve dijital olarak desteklenmiş diaspora katılım çerçevelerini teşvik etmeyi amaçlayan politika önerileri ile sonuçlanmaktadır.

Reconfiguring Nationalism: The Diaspora as a Catalyst Beyond Territorial Stigma

Öz

This study examines the stigmatization of Indonesian diasporas as “unpatriotic” in the context of territorial nationalism, which prioritizes physical presence and direct contribution within national borders. Through a qualitative narrative review of social media discourse, policy documents, and diaspora-led initiatives, we analyze how the viral hashtag #KaburAjaDulu (#JustEscape) reflects broader tensions between emigration and national loyalty. Findings reveal that diasporas contribute significantly to Indonesia’s development through transnational networks, digital engagement, knowledge transfer, and cultural diplomacy—often surpassing conventional forms of patriotism. This research advocates for a reconceptualization of nationalism that transcends territorial limitations and embraces diasporas as strategic partners in national development. The study concludes with policy recommendations aimed at fostering inclusive, digitally-enabled diaspora engagement frameworks that align with Indonesia’s global aspirations.
