A STUDY OF MICROBIOLOGICAL QUALITY OF KARACALI WATER IN ELAZIG
Öz
In this study, microbiological quality of Karacali waters in Elazig were determined. Samples were obtained from ten different district and analysed in the same day. Coliform bacteria and the determination of being of faecal E.coli are made by using McCrady list The samples which are taken from suitable dilutions as known quantity have been inoculated on the agar plate and the counts have been made by using plate counts techniques, the results determined as a cob. In the samples as a average total microorganism 245.7x10-6 kob/ml, Salmonella sp. 8.4x10-6 kob/ml, respectively and also coliform bacteria and E.coli were not determined. In conclusion, it could be proposed from the above data that the samples of Karaçali water had very low hygienic quality.
