The aim of this study is to search the study of the unit of "Reproduction, Growing and Development in Animates" that takes place in the program of the Science and Technology Lesson of 6th grade students in primary school, to be studied by applying a jigsaw technique and this technique's effects on students' success. In this study, the pre and post test research model with control group was used. The sample of the study consists of 46 students from two different sixth grade classrooms in an elementary school which is taught by the same teacher. The research is carried out during the fall semester of 2010-2011 educational year for during six weeks. The classrooms were chosen randomly as a control and an experimental group.In conclusion, it has been found that there are significant differences between achievements of the two groups. Judging from this result, it can be said that the jigsaw technique is more effective than the others constructivist teaching methods on science achievement.
