AS AN INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH EXPERIMENT: SPELLİNG

Öz

Linguistics emphasizes the importance of using the Turkish language and main rules of typing properly. Technically, writing of a language is named as spelling. In our country, the subject of spelling is considered a part of Turkish and Literacy Classes and it is generally violated in other classes. The primary aim of this study is determine students' performances about correctly spelling of the 45 terms and concepts related to "Hard Sciences Teaching" class in primary school. Correctly spelling percentage of the 45 terms and concepts has been determined and interpreted for Hard Science and Primary School Teacher candidates of Faculty of Education in Celal Bayar University. In this article; spelling errors are given for the 45 terms and concepts both qualitatively and quantitatively and the possible causes for misspelling the terms and concepts are discussed.

Öz

Dil bilimciler, Türkçe'yi doğru kullanmanın, yazım dilindeki temel kurallara uymanın önemi üzerinde durmaktadırlar. Teknik olarak, bir dilin belli kurallarla yazıya geçirilmesine yazım (imlâ) denir. Ülkemizde imlâ (yazım) konusu sadece Türkçe ve edebiyat dersleri içeriğinde yer alan bir bölümmüş gibi değerlendirilerek, Türkçe ve edebiyat dışındaki derslerde genellikle ihmâl edilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı ilköğretimde "Fen Bilgisi Öğretimi"yle ilgili 45 terim ve kavramın doğru yazılmasındaki öğrenci performansını belirlemektir. Bu çalışmada, Celal Bayar Üniversitesi, Eğitim Fakültesi, Fen Bilgisi ve Sınıf Öğretmenliği son sınıf öğrencilerinin, 45 terim ve kavramı doğru yazma yüzdeleri tespit edilerek yorumlanmıştır. Çalışmada; her terim ve kavram için yapılan yazım hataları hem niteliksel hem de niceliksel olarak ortaya konmuş ve yazım hatalarının neden yapıldığına yönelik açıklamalar sunulmuştur.
