It was aimed to determine the attitudes of the students taking the course of basic art education concerning the course through the current study. While the course Basic Art Education at the Department of Applied Arts Education at the Faculty of Vocational Education of Gazi University allows students to form an infrastructure for the studies they aim at studying in the coming grades and in the courses they are going to study, it also help them improve their creativity and comprehend the principles and components of art using different materials and techniques. In the research, to what extent the course of basic art education had a beneficial effect on the attitudes of the students made this study compulsory in terms of determining the level of realization of general and special objectives of this course. A scale of attitudes prepared for the students taking the course of basic art education was applied in line with the objective of the research and data was gathered through a pre-test and last-test in order to determine whether there was a change in the attitudes of the students. Kruskal-Wallis H Test and Two Sample Paired Wilcoxon Test were applied in order to determine the difference between the mean scores and one factored variance analysis (One-Way-Anova) for independent samplings was applied n the analysis of the quantitative data obtained at the end of the research. Depending on the finding obtained at the end of the research, it was found that the courses of basic art education did not improve so much positive attitude on the students.

Ara?tyrma amacy ile ba?lantyly olarak temel sanat e?itimi dersini alan ö?rencilere hazyrlanan tutum ölçe?i uygulanmy? ve yine tutumlarynda bir de?i?iklik olup olmady?yny tespit etmek amacy ile ön test ve son test olarak verilere ula?ylmy?tyr. Ara?tyrma sonucu elde edilen nicel verilerin analizinde ortalamalar arasyndaki farklary ortaya koymak amacy ile Kruskal-Wallis H Testi, Wilcoxon E?le?tirilmi? Yki Örneklem Testi ve ba?ymsyz örneklemler için tek-faktörlü varyans analizi (One-Way Anova) yapylmy?tyr. Ara?tyrma sonucunda, elde edilen bulgulara göre, temel sanat e?itimi derslerinin ö?renci üzerinde çok fazla olumlu tutum geli?tiremedi?i tespit edilmi?tir.
