The topics like globalisation in world; the increase of importance given to knowledge, technological improvements force countries and companies firms to show a better performance. In this regard, the historical development of management and strategy definitions are made clear. Creating strategies to be aware of specified matters, the purpose of strategy, goals, mission, policies, program, method, plan, vision, tactics to be associated with concepts such as, but a more comprehensive strategy that is highlighted. The strategic management organizations, institutions and organizations in running what, process gained, stages and strategic management tools are mentioned. SWOT analysis of strategic management tools, are described with conceptual dimension. In short, the above-mentioned topics in a general conceptual approach has been revealed. As a result, the SWOT analysis, countries, institutions and agencies, organizations, these changing conditions is necessary to update the current situation with a certain period. Still in the process of strategic management, this issue needs to be done in the preparation of the steps, implementation and evaluation requirement is emerging as a result.

Bu nedenle, yönetimin ve stratejinin tarihsel geli?imi açyklanarak tanymlary yapylmy?tyr. Strateji olu?turulurken dikkat edilecek hususlar belirtilmi?, stratejinin amaç, hedef, misyon, politika, program, yöntem, plan, vizyon, taktik gibi kavramlarla ba?lantyly oldu?u ancak stratejinin daha kapsamly oldu?u vurgulanmy?tyr. Ayryca stratejik yönetimin organizasyonlara, kurum ve kurulu?lara ne kazandyrdy?y, süreci, a?amalary ve stratejik yönetim araçlaryndan bahsedilmi?tir. Stratejik yönetim araçlaryndan SWOT analizi, kavramsal boyutlaryyla açyklanmy?tyr. Kysaca, yukaryda belirtilen ba?lyklar konusunda genel bir kavramsal yakla?ym ortaya koyulmu?tur. Sonuç olarak, Swot analiziyle, ülkelerin, kurum ve kurulu?laryn, organizasyonlaryn, bu de?i?en ?artlarda belli periyotlarla mevcut durumlaryny güncellemesi gerekmektedir. Yine stratejik yönetim sürecinde, bu konuda yapylmasy gereken basamaklaryn hazyrlanmasy, uygulanmasy ve sonucunda de?erlendirilmesi gere?i ortaya çykmaktadyr.
