Öz

Bu çaly?mada, CO2 LBW metodu ile kaynak edilen farkly malzemelerin(AISI 430-AISI 304) mikroyapy ve mekanik özelliklerine yüksek ilerleme hyzynyn etkisi incelenmi?tir. Lazer kaynaklary, argon ve helyum koruyucu gaz atmosferlerinde, 2250 W sabit kaynak gücünde ve 100–200–300 cm/dk. ilerleme hyzlarynda yapylmy?tyr. Kaynak sonrasy birle?me ara yüzeyinde ve ysynyn tesiri altynda kalan bölgede(ITAB) meydana gelen mikroyapy de?i?iklikleri optik mikroskop, SEM, EDS ve X-Ray analizleri ile incelenmi?tir. Malzemenin birle?me mukavemetini belirlemek için çekme deneyi yapylmy?tyr. Yapylan incelemeler sonrasynda bütün kaynaklarda, artan ilerleme hyzyna paralel olarak kaynak bölgesinin geni?li?inin azaldy?y tespit edilmi?tir. Çekme testleri de bu sonucu do?rulamaktadyr. Helyum atmosferi altynda ve 100 cm/dk. ilerleme hyzy uygulanarak yapylan lazer kayna?ynyn, metalurjik ve mekanik açydan kaynak kalitesi en yüksek birle?tirme oldu?u tespit edilmi?tir.

THE EFFECTS OF HIGH WELDING SPEED ON MICROSTRUCTURE AND MECHANICAL PROPERTY OF DISSIMILAR WELDED COMPONENTS (AISI 430–AISI 304) BY CO2 LBW METHOD

Öz

In this study, the effects of high welding speed on microstructure and mechanical property of dissimilar welded components (AISI 430 ferritic stainless steel and AISI 304 austenitic stainless steel) by CO2 laser welding was carried out. Laser beam welding experiments were carried out under argon and helium atmospheres at 2250 W constant heat input and 100-200-300 cm/min. welding speeds. The microstructures of the welded joints and the heat affected zones (HAZ) were examined by optical microscopy, SEM, EDS and X-Ray analysis. The tensile strength of the welded joints was measured. The result of this study indicated that; the width of welding zone became much thinner depending on the increased welding speed. Tensile strength values also confirmed this result. The best properties were observed at the specimens welded under helium atmosphere, at 100 cm/min welding speed.
