TÜRKİYE’DE PEYZAJ MİMARLIĞI LİSANSÜSTÜ TEZLERİNDE "YAĞMUR SUYU" TERİMİNE YÖNELİK EĞİLİMLERİN İNCELENMESİ

Öz

Bu çalışma, Türkiye'deki Peyzaj Mimarlığı lisansüstü tezlerinde "yağmur suyu" teriminin akademik eğilimlerini Yükseköğretim Kurulu Başkanlığı Tez Merkezi verileri aracılığıyla sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma, lisansüstü tezlerde "yağmur suyu" teriminin yıllara ve bölümlere göre kullanımını inceleyerek Peyzaj Mimarlığının bu terime yönelik katkısını ortaya koymaktadır. Aynı zamanda Peyzaj Mimarlığı bölümündeki tezleri lisansüstü eğitim türlerine, dillerine, danışman unvanlarına, çalışmaların gerçekleştirildiği illere ve tezlerde geçen anahtar kelimelere göre de analiz etmektedir. Yükseköğretim Kurulu Başkanlığı Tez Merkezi verilerine göre, fen bilimleri alanında "yağmur suyu" terimi içeren tezlerde 2022 ve 2023 yıllarında bir artış gözlemlenmektedir. 2014-2023 yılları arasındaki fen bilimleri grubundaki tezlerde "yağmur suyu" teriminin en çok İnşaat Mühendisliği, Çevre Mühendisliği ve Peyzaj Mimarlığı bölümlerinde geçtiği tespit edilmiştir. Peyzaj Mimarlığı alanında ise "yağmur suyu" terimine olan eğilimin tüm zamanlarda ve özellikle 2014-2023 ile 2019-2023 dönemlerinde arttığı görülmektedir. 2019-2023 yılları arasındaki Peyzaj Mimarlığı tezlerinde "yağmur suyu" terimi içeren çalışmaların büyük çoğunluğunun yüksek lisans düzeyinde ve Türkçe olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu tezlerde görev alan danışmanların çoğunlukla Doç. Dr. unvanına sahip olduğu saptanmıştır. "Yağmur suyu" terimini içeren Peyzaj Mimarlığı tezlerinin 16 farklı üniversitede ve Türkiye'nin 14 ili ile Libya'nın Zliten şehrinde çalışma alanı olarak ele alındığı görülmektedir. Çalışma alanı olarak seçilen illerin yıllık yağış verileri ile tezlerin konuları arasında bir ilişki olduğu düşünülmektedir. Tezlerde en sık tekrar eden anahtar kelimeler ise yağmur suyu yönetimi, yağmur suyu hasadı, sürdürülebilirlik ve yeşil altyapı olarak tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, "yağmur suyu" terimiyle ilgili çalışmaların Peyzaj Mimarlığı alanında son yıllarda ivme kazandığı ve bu alandaki lisansüstü tezlerin önemli bir bölümünü oluşturduğu söylenebilir.

AN INVESTIGATION OF TRENDS REGARDING THE TERM "STORMWATER" IN LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE GRADUATE THESES IN TÜRKİYE

Öz

This study aims to present the academic trends of the term "stormwater" in Landscape Architecture graduate theses in Turkey through the data of the Council of Higher Education Thesis Center. The research examines the use of the term "stormwater" in graduate theses according to years and departments, thereby revealing the contribution of Landscape Architecture to this term. It also analyzes theses in the Landscape Architecture department according to graduate education types, languages, advisor titles, the cities where the studies were conducted, and the keywords used in the theses. According to the data from the Council of Higher Education Thesis Center, an increase in theses containing the term "stormwater" in the field of science was observed in 2022 and 2023. It has been determined that the term "stormwater" in science group theses between 2014 and 2023 appeared most frequently in the departments of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Landscape Architecture. In the field of Landscape Architecture, the trend towards the term "rainwater" has been increasing at all times, and especially in the periods of 2014-2023 and 2019-2023. It has been determined that the majority of studies containing the term "stormwater" in Landscape Architecture theses between 2019 and 2023 were at the master's level and in Turkish. It was found that the advisors of these theses mostly held the title of Associate Professor. It is seen that Landscape Architecture theses containing the term "stormwater" are found in 16 different universities and have addressed 14 cities in Turkey and the city of Zliten in Libya as study areas. It is thought that there is a relationship between the annual rainfall data of the selected study areas and the subjects of the theses. The most frequently repeated keywords in the theses were determined as stormwater management, stormwater harvesting, sustainability, and green infrastructure. As a result, it can be said that studies related to the term "stormwater" have gained momentum in the field of Landscape Architecture in recent years and constitute a significant part of graduate theses in this field.
