The Yenikapı Lodge is located exterior of the historical city wall in Merkez Efendi Street, Zeytinburnu, Istanbul and the total are of the complex is 7 decades. Yenikapı Lodge is the most important architectural sample of the Islamic monastery as known “Asitane”. Yenikapı Lodge was built in 1598 by Malkoç Mehmet Efendi after building Galata Lodge. The complex comes until today with restored many times from 16th century. The complex was under untended condition after the fire in 1997.Selamlık Male section , Muvakkithane, Timing Room Nafiz Pasha Tomb, Library and Cemetery were remaining before restoration implements. Around of the complex had many additional unauthentic buildings. Therefore this restoration project considered with its social and actual environment also.All of the architectural detail and evidence searched for reconstruction of the missing building and the part of the complex with valuable contribution of Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ersen. Some of the buildings were conserved and some of them were reconstructed, during the all restoration works. The limits of the data were considered during all steps of conservation, restoration works. The literature and historical researches were paired with the evidence from field. Semahane is the complementary part of lodges and its reconstruction works were completed after approval of the restitution projects by council of monuments. Semahane was reconstructed top on the ruins of the original foundations. The building is masonry and the covering is timber structure dome in inner face and timber structure gable roof in outer face. Semahane is surrounded by tomb, Harem and Şerbethane Sherbet Room . Semahane Whirling dervish hall was totally destroyed after the fire in 1961.The reconstruction works were completed with original construction techniques and original details that were approved by the Council of Monuments
