Öz
In this study, material analysis studies were produced in documentation of various historical monuments examined under the scope of Restoration Project and Traditional Building Materials lectures conducted in Gebze Technical University, Architecture Department, Post Graduate Program in order to form a common language in display techniques used in legends. Suggestion material legend was developed after examination of the samples obtained from İstanbul Cultural Assets Conservation Boards archives and suggested legend was presented on a sample structure. The study was limited by material analysis and therefore period, deterioration, etc. analysis were left outside the scope. In order to examine the legends of all analyses presented to protection Conservation Boards material, period, deterioration, etc. and come into effect by common display techniques it will be compliant for the related organizations in Turkey to conduct studies. This presented study is considered to support the subject.
