Since the establishment of the Gulf Cooperation Council in 1980، its main goal was to protect the people of the GCC states from political and military developments in the region. Since early 1970s، due to surging oil prices and increasing demand، the Arab Gulf has become the focus of attention of the major powers، particularly the US and the European countries due to their high dependence on the Gulf oil. This paper highlights the nature of the conflicting views among the GCC states towards hot files and strategic differences regarding the management of foreign policy، oil policy، and wealth management. It concludes with a brief presentation that needs to be expanded in the future and it asserts some important policies that need to be followed in order to achieve a unified Gulf region
