By serving for the creation of common denominators among different peoples and states history stands as a determining factor to facilitate a better conduct of the humanitarian diplomacy of Turkey towards the Sub-Saharan Africa. Turkish humanitarian diplomacy seeks inter alia to assist these countries in need with a combined use of humanitarian and development tools and financing where appropriate. These human-centered policies and practices will be addressed at the first-ever World Humanitarian Summit which will be held on 2324- May 2016 in Istanbul.As a complementary approach to realist based studies conventional constructivism which focuses on socio-psychological ideational dimensions along with the process of common identity building in foreign policy analysis helps to provide a better understanding of the role of history in the humanitarian diplomacy. This article having elaborated the aforementioned arguments then concentrates on the historical relations between Turkey and Niger underlying the importance of historical ties and affinities in better conducting the humanitarian diplomacy of Turkey in this country
