Öz
The Russian military involvement in Syria, to be followed by its withdrawal resulted in a number of major consequences. The Russian presence and the Iranian support served the Syrian regime by keeping Assad in power. It can be asserted that Iran is no longer the main controller of the scene. Therefore, this study seeks to explain the reasons for sudden change in the Russian- Iranian relations and foresee its repercussions in light of their overlapping interests after the nuclear deal and the elections of Shura and Assembly of Experts
