The presence of Islam in Western countries has recently been considered a security concern by Western politicians, decision-makers, and civil society institutions. Within this context, Islam has been portrayed both as a security problem and an existing threat to the civilized Western values and identity. This fear has been worsened with the influx of migrants into Europe mainly from Muslim countries. Although Islam in the West has been present for ages, the fear and phobia of Islam has grown with the wrong promotion of its ideals by some of its affiliates. This, in return, has contributed to the growing and spread of Islamophobia which considers Islam a threat that must be dealt with through several mechanisms that are characterized by ruthlessness, marginalization, and restrictions on Islam. These efforts eventually resulted to racism and hatred towards Islam, despite Islam being far away from the way it has been described
