This work attempts to present the tracks. transformations and failures of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement. Fatah. since its inception in the mid-1960s. Moreover it finds that Fatah movement has turned into a kind of authority after signing the Oslo accord in 1993. The rise of the Fatah movement as the first Palestinian national movement to embrace the armed struggle as a form of Palestinian national liberation action is explained through the paper. and it is asserted that objective conditions have led to its decline and failure to achieve its objectives. However. this work also confirms that there are inherent problems in Fatah that contributed to its decline; but it concludes that there is still legitimacy to a political movement such as represented by the Fatah movement in its beginnings after taking advantage of past experience and its lessons
