This paper aims at addressing the issue of forced displacement as one of the most intractable problems in the world. since it discusses its systematic causes and the cases it expresses. such as the conflict over assets and resources. The paper considers that some of the treatments that are suggested to resolve this problem add to the growing imbalances rather than bridging the gap. For instance. statements around “peace building” may be misused to further entrench the population distribution resulting from forced displacement and subsequent replacement by others. The paper also views that political settlements that overlook the issue of displaced people are unlikely to be compatible with the standards of justice and human rights. Therefore. the researcher finds out that addressing the matter of displacement requires numerous interventions; some pre-emptive. others coinciding with its beginning. and thirdly. at the level of post-event containment
