Russia's policies towards Libya after the Arab Spring is some what a complicated issue. In this regard, this article tries to figure out these policies in the context of the philosophy of continuity and change. More, this article argues that there are three main schools in Russian foreign policy, concerning statism, Westernization and the distinction of Russian civilization. This approach has made relations between Libya and Russia very important given the interplay of Libya-Europe relations, the impact of the Mediterranean coast and the effects of Libya's crisis on Europe. The paper follows various Russian positions during and after the Libyan revolution and sets several models for interpreting Russian behavior
