This research examines the waves of migration towards Turkey and its effects, especially in the Syrian war case, best described as an extension of the popular demonstrations out broke in Tunisia and spread rapidly in the region. After the war, intense migration waves headed mainly to Turkey. By utilizing various related data, this research discusses the reasons led the Syrians to choose Turkey as a country of asylum, and the areas in which they reside, their experiences in these areas, their impact on the Turkish economy, and the effect of the cultural and historical ties between Turkey and Syria on the migration process
