Medicinal Plants in Flora of Ikramiye Valley (Sapanca/Sakarya/Turkey)
Abstract
In this study, medicinal plants of İkramiye valley (Sapanca/Sakarya) and its environs were investigated. As a result of the research, 90 plant taxa belonging to 42 families and 77 genus have been determined for medicinal purpose. Plants are given with their scientific names, collector numbers, local names, Turkish name, used parts, methods of preparations, usage forms and effects. in the praparation of herbal drugs. Most used families of preparing herbal medicine were Rosaceae (13), Lamiaceae (12), and Asteraceae (9); the most used parts were leaves (%27.6) and aerial parts (%15.5) and flowers (%15.5). İnfusion (%42.5)and decoction (%34.9)are the most commonly used methods. Plants are used mainly for respiratory disorders (%21).
