Aim: The aim of this study was to review the present literature on nursing studies based on Watson Human Care Model and to examine the data obtained from the studies systematically.

Method: This study is a systematic review and was conducted between January 2009- January 2019 by searching the Turkish and English directories from Google Scholar, Pubmed, Science Direct, Proquest, Cochrane, EBSCOhost, Clinical Key, Ovid, Web of Science. “Watson Human Care Model”,“Watson Human Care Theory” and “nursing” keywords were used in the investigation and the articles with full text were evaluated in terms of inclusion criteria and sampling was taken. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and MetaAnalyses (PRISMA) have provided guidance on guiding the research and writing the research report.

Results: As a result of the scans, a total of 48 studies that met the research criteria constituted the sample of the study. It was determined that Watson Human Care Model is the theoretical framework in 23 studies, model was carried out in the light of the study, or in the light of this theory, the questionnaire forms were used in the data collection stage in 18 studies, the model was used to guide care in 7 case studies.

Conclusion: The results of the study show that Watson Human Care Model is more limited in the clinical field. In this context, it is thought that the more widespread use of this model is more meaningfulness for, nurses improve the maintenance behavior, the communication between nurses and especially the dimensions of strengthening clinical management
