This study was conducted to evaluate the periodic health examinations and the occupational health and safety climate experienced by employees (n = 229) working in a university hospital. Data were collected in two stages using questionnaires prepared by the researchers in line with the literature. In the first stage, the employees’ periodic health data were reviewed, while in the second stage, their opinions on occupational health and safety were evaluated. Descriptive statistical methods were used for data analysis, and One Way ANOVA, Mann Whitney U, and Kruskal Wallis tests were employed for quantitative data analysis. Statistical significance was evaluated at the levels of p<0.05 and p<0.001. It was found that 71.6% of the participants were informed about the periodic health examinations they needed to undergo, and 74.7% underwent these examinations regularly. Additionally, 63.3% of the employees perceived periodic health examinations as effective in protecting their health and considered them necessary at a level above moderate. The general approach and awareness levels of employees toward periodic health examinations can be considered an important indicator of health management awareness.
