MEB Okul Öncesi Eğitim Programının (2024) Üstün Yetenek Potansiyeli Olan Çocukların Gelişimsel Becerilerini Desteklemesi Yönünden İncelenmesi

Öz

Bu çalışmada, Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı (MEB) tarafından geliştirilen Türkiye Yüzyılı Maarif Modeli Okul Öncesi Eğitim Programı, özel yetenekli çocukların gelişimsel özelliklerini destekleme potansiyeli açısından incelenmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında, okul öncesi eğitim programına ait dokümanlar ile bu program doğrultusunda öğretmenler tarafından hazırlanan aylık ve günlük planlar analiz edilmiştir. Betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılarak elde edilen bulgular, tablolar halinde sunulmuştur. Çalışmada, gelişimsel özelliklerin desteklenme durumu MEB 2024 okul öncesi eğitim programının tanıtım metni, 9 aylık plan ve 3 günlük plan ile birlikte, 3 okul öncesi öğretmenin hazırladığı 9 aylık plan ve 3 günlük plan incelenmiştir. Dokümanlar “Olası Özel yetenekli çocukların gelişimsel özellikleri listesi” aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, güncellenen okul öncesi eğitim programının çocukların gelişimsel özelliklerini sınırlı düzeyde desteklediği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, öğretmenlerin sınıfta uyguladığı planların, programdan daha sınırlı bir şekilde bu özellikleri desteklediği belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçları uygulamaya yönelik daha fazla çalışma yapılması gerekliliğini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu bağlamda, elde edilen bulguların, okul öncesi eğitimde özel yetenekli çocukların desteklenmesi konusunda literatüre katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

MEB Examination of the Preschool Education Program (2024) in Terms of Supporting the Developmental Skills of Potentially Gifted Children

Öz

This study examines the Türkiye Yüzyılı Maarif Model Early Childhood Education Program, developed by the Ministry of National Education (MEB), in terms of its potential to support the developmental characteristics of gifted children. Within the scope of the research, the documents of the early childhood education program and the monthly and daily plans prepared by teachers in line with this program were analyzed. Descriptive analysis was employed, and the findings were presented in tables. In the study, the extent to which developmental characteristics were supported was examined through the 2024 MoNE Preschool Education Program introduction text, a 9-month plan and a 3-day plan, as well as 9-month and 3-day plans prepared by three preschool teachers. The documents were analyzed using the “List of Developmental Characteristics of Potential Gifted Children. According to the findings, the updated early childhood education program was found to support children’s developmental characteristics to a limited extent. Additionally, it was determined that the plans implemented by teachers in the classroom support these characteristics even more limitedly than the program itself. The results of the study highlight the necessity of conducting further research focusing on practical applications. In this context, the findings are expected to contribute to the literature on supporting gifted children in early childhood education.
