Psikoterapiyi Erken Bırakma: Bir Gözden Geçirme

Öz

Bu çalışma, psikoterapi sürecinde yaygın olarak karşılaşılan ve önemli bir engel olarak değerlendirilen psikoterapiyi erken bırakma durumunun alan yazında gerçekleştirilen çalışmalar kapsamında değerlendirilmesini amaçlamaktadır. Alan yazın incelendiğinde, psikoterapiyi erken bırakmaya ilişkin ortak bir tanımın bulunmadığı görülmektedir. Bununla birlikte alan yazında psikoterapiyi erken bırakmada danışana, terapiste, danışan-terapist ilişkisine ve terapiye dair pek çok faktörün etkisinin bulunduğuna yönelik çalışmalar yer almaktadır. Tüm bu bilgilerden yola çıkılarak bu çalışmada öncelikle psikoterapiyi erken bırakmaya ilişkin tanımlamalara yer verilmiş, daha sonra psikoterapiyi erken bırakmanın ne kadar yaygın olduğu, erken bırakmada hangi faktörlerin etkili olduğu, erken bırakmanın sonuçları ve bu sorunu önlemeye yönelik çeşitli stratejiler alan yazında yer alan çalışmalar kapsamında incelenmiştir.
