In our study, it was aimed to investigate the decision-making styles of football referees at different levels according to certain variables. The population of the study consisted of football referees who served at different levels in Turkey during the 2015-2016 season. The sample of the study consisted of 178 football referees who served at different levels in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolian regions. The demographic information was collected by using a “Personal Information Form”, which consisted of 10 items while the data for decision-making styles were collected by using the “Decision Making Questionnaire”, which was developed by Mann et al. (1998). The collected data were evaluated by using SPSS 22.0 package software, and the level of significance was regarded as p<0.05. For paired comparisons, the t-test was conducted while the Anova test was conducted for multiple comparisons. According to the findings obtained in our study, when self-esteem and decision-making styles were evaluated, it was determined that there were significant differences in terms of the level of referees, professional experiences, education level and monthly income (p<0.05). In conclusion, it was observed that as the period of being a referee and education level increased, self-esteem and vigilance styles positively increased in decision making while buck-passing, procrastination and hypervigilance styles were negatively influenced in addition to positive effects on decision-making styles of referees who were married. It was concluded that the variables of the period of being a referee, education level, monthly income and the level where they served had resulted in significant effects on referees to achieve a proficient level of decision-making.
