TÜRKİYE’DE ÜÇÜZ AÇIKLARA AMPİRİK BİR YAKLAŞIM:1975-2010

In an economy, in the same period, the budget deficit, the foreign trade deficit and the saving investment deficit, representing the triple deficits which causes crises. These deficits, which create general macroeconomic balance, affect and are affected each other. In this study, were made econometrical analysis of these deficits for Turkey. Applied the ARDL method for the determination of the existence of a long run relationship between budget deficit, trade deficit and the saving investment deficit. For the analysis of the order and direction of causality between variables in the short term, Toda Yamamoto causality test was utilized which insensible to the integration levels of the variables. According to results of the analysis, there isn’t a relationship between the variables in the long run. Besides this, the results obtained from the analysis of Toda Yamamoto tests confirmed that, there are causalities from trade deficit to saving investment deficit, the trade deficit to budget deficit and the saving investment deficit to budget deficit

Bir ekonomide aynı dönemde bütçe açığı, dış ticaret açığı ve tasarruf yatırım açığının birlikte bulunması durumunu ifade eden üçüz açık kavramı, ülke ekonomilerine krizlere kadar büyüyebilecek sorunlara yol açmaktadır. Genel makroekonomik dengeyi oluşturan bu açıklar, birbirlerini etkilemekte ve birbirlerinden etkilenebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada Türkiye için bu etkilerin ekonometrik analizi yapılmıştır. Bütçe açığı, dış ticaret açığı ve tasarruf yatırım açığı arasında uzun dönemli bir ilişkinin varlığının tespiti için ARDL (Augmented Redistributed Lag) yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Ancak seriler arasında eşbütünleşme ilişkisine rastlanmamıştır. Değişkenler arasında nedenselliğinin sırasının ve yönünün kısa dönemde analizi için bütünleşme derecelerine bağımlı olmayan Toda Yamamoto nedensellik testi kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda değişkenler arasında uzun dönemde bir ilişkiye rastlanmamıştır. Nedensellik testi sonuçlarına göre dış ticaret açığından tasarruf yatırım açığına, dış ticaret açığından bütçe açığına ve tasarruf yatırım açığından bütçe açığına doğru nedensellik ilişkisi tespit edilmiştir
