ÇEVRESEL ENDİŞE VE ÇEVRE DOSTU DAVRANIŞIN YEŞİL TURİSTİK İŞLETME TERCİH ETME NİYETİYLE İLİŞKİSİ

Öz

Günümüzde önemli bir gündem konusu haline gelen çevre sorunları ekonomik, sosyal ve ekolojik etkileriyle giderek derinleşmektedir. Çevre sorunlarının ulaştığı boyut çevresel endişeler kadar çevre dostu davranışların da artmasına neden olmaktadır. Çevre sorunlarının etkilediği önemli sektörlerden biri de turizm sektörüdür. En önemli ekonomik kaynağı turizm olan ülkeler için çevre sorunları ciddi gelir ve turist kaybı anlamına gelmektedir. Bu bağlamda çalışma, çevresel endişenin ve çevre dostu davranışların yeşil turistik işletme tercih etme niyetiyle ilişkisini ve çevresel endişenin, çevre dostu davranışla ilişkisini ortaya koymak amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada nicel araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri, anket tekniği ile elde edilmiştir. Kolayda örnekleme yöntemi seçilmiştir. Sosyal medya platformlarında Google form formatında hazırlanmış olan anket formu dağıtılmıştır. Örneklem sayısı 384 olarak belirlenmiş olup, toplanan 443 anket analize uygun bulunmuştur. Korelasyon analizi ve hipotez testleri ortaya konulmuştur. Çalışmada çevresel endişenin, çevre dostu davranışla ilişkisi olduğu, çevre dostu davranışın, yeşil turistik işletme tercih etme niyetiyle ilişkisi olduğu ve çevresel endişenin, yeşil turistik işletme tercih etme niyetiyle ilişkisi olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda hem devletin hem yeşil turistik işletmelerin, toplumu çevresel kaygı ve çevre dostu davranış konusunda bilinçlendirmeleri gerektiği söylenebilir.

Relationship Between Environmental Concern and Environmentally Friendly Behavior and Intention to Prefer Green Touristic Business

Öz

Environmental problems, which have become an important agenda item today, are gradually deepening with their economic, social and ecological effects. The dimension that environmental problems have reached causes an increase in environmentally friendly behaviors as well as environmental concerns. One of the important sectors affected by environmental problems is the tourism sector. Environmental problems mean serious income and tourist losses for countries whose most important economic source is tourism. In this context, the study was conducted to reveal the relationship between environmental concern and environmentally friendly behaviors and the intention to prefer green touristic businesses, and the relationship between environmental concern and environmentally friendly behavior. Quantitative research design was used in the study. The data of the study was obtained by survey technique. Convenience sampling method was chosen. The survey form prepared in Google form format was distributed on social media platforms. The sample size was determined as 384 and 443 surveys collected were found suitable for analysis. Correlation analysis and hypothesis tests were presented. In the study, it was determined that environmental concern is related to environmentally friendly behavior, environmentally friendly behavior is related to the intention to prefer green touristic businesses, and environmental concern is not related to the intention to prefer green touristic businesses. In this context, it can be said that both the state and green touristic businesses should raise awareness of society about environmental concerns and environmentally friendly behavior.
