SAĞLIK HİZMETLERİNDE AKREDİTASYON SÜRECİ BİR KAMPÜS ŞEHİR HASTANESİNİN DENEYİMİ

Öz

Sağlık hizmetlerinde kalite iyileştirme faaliyetleri sağlık sistemlerinin temel ve önemli önceliklerindendir. Sağlık hizmetleri sunumunda kalitenin ve hasta güvenliğinin iyileştirilmesinde kilit bir role sahip olan akreditasyon sağlık hizmeti kalitesini yükseltmek için tercih edilen yöntem olarak kabul edilmektedir. Akreditasyon üzerine yapılan araştırmalar çoğunlukla büyük ölçekli nicel çalışmalar kullanarak akreditasyonun etkisini değerlendirmeye odaklanmış, ancak akreditasyon süreciyle kalitenin pratikte nasıl iyileştirildiği konusunda çok az şey ortaya konulmuştur. Bu çalışma ile Türkiye’nin ilk ve tek akredite kampüs şehir hastanesinin akreditasyona hazırlık, denetim ve denetim sonrası sürecindeki yapılan kalite iyileştirme faaliyetlerini paylaşmayı ve akreditasyon hedefi olan hastanelere yol göstermeyi amaçlamaktadır.

ACCREDİTATİON PROCESS İN HEALTHCARE SERVİCES: THE EXPERİENCE OF A CAMPUS CİTY HOSPİTAL

Öz

Quality improvement activities in healthcare are among the fundamental and important priorities of healthcare systems. Accreditation, which plays a key role in improving the quality and patient safety of healthcare services, is considered the preferred method for improving healthcare quality. Research on accreditation has largely focused on evaluating the impact of accreditation using large-scale quantitative studies, but little has been documented regarding how quality is improved in practice through the accreditation process. This study aims to share the quality improvement activities conducted during the accreditation preparation, audit, and post-audit processes of Turkey's first and only accredited campus city hospital and to provide guidance for hospitals seeking accreditation.
