Dr. Craig N. Refugio holds the following degrees on scholarship grants: Post Doctorate Training in Advanced Statistics at the University of North Carolina, USA in 2008; Post Doctorate Training in Advanced Calculus at the Fairfax County Schools Professional Development Training Center, Virginia, USA in 2008; PhD in Education major in Research & Evaluation from the University of San Carlos, Cebu City, in 2004; MA in Education major in Mathematics Education from Western Mindanao State University, Zamboanga City in 1995; & BS in Mathematics from Andres Bonifacio College, Magna Cum Laude in 1987. He is currently a Professor 6, the Director for International Linkages, and the Acting University Research Director of Negros Oriental State University, Dumagute City. He has 24 professional affiliations including the American Mathematical Society & the American Statistical Association as well as the College Board of the United States of America for Advanced Placement Programs for Advanced Statistics & Advanced Calculus. On February 3-21, 2014, he was sent by the Philippine Government in cooperation with the Indian Government to attend the International Labor Studies Research Methods at the Indian National Labour Institute, Noida, New Delhi, India. Moreover, he has seven professional certifications and licenses, three from the Philippines and four from the United States of America. As a researcher, he has published 25 research articles in local, national & international refereed journals, nine (9) of which are published in Scopus Indexed Journals. He presented 45 research papers in local, national & international conferences & conventions. In 2015, one of his mathematics education papers won as one of the 6 best mathematics education research papers during the 6th Conference in Science and Math Education in Penang, Malaysia and in 2010, he was awarded the Claes Nobel Educator Distinction Award by the US National Society of High School Scholar, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Last June 26-28, 2024, he attended the “FREE OF CHARGE” 2024 National Workshop on Data Science @ the University of California, Berkeley. He was one of the 100 participants who successfully hurdled the screening for the aforementioned workshop out of over a thousand applicants. Tooba Saleem is currently serving as Lecturer at Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad. She has worked in different research projects with renowned national and international research organizations like USAID, UNESCO, DFID, UNICEF and GFA in different capacities (tool developer, data analyst, data collector, academic tutor and report writer). She has teaching experience in formal and non-formal higher education institutions.She is currently working on exploring the problems of Online Learning Management System and Learners' motivation to use it as tool of communication. In this regard basically, Secondary data base and qualitative data are found to be more useful tools to get information.
